Michel Desjoyeaux on Foncia won the 6th edition of the Vendée Globe, crossing the finish line at the Sables d’Olonne on 2009 February, 1st.
By winning the race in 84 days, the French skipper beat the previous record held by Vincent Riou. This is his second victory on this solo round-the-world race, without stopovers or assistance.
It is also a great pride for the teams of Guelt Nautic who have made many mechanical parts for the Imoca of Foncia Team.
